After four years of business planning, market research and manufacturing trips, along with seemingly endless conference calls with engineers, designers and patent attorneys, the Toobeez product was born. Tubes and Spheres

Often referred to as Giant Tinker Toys, Toobeez is a life-sized construction building system comprised of interlocking tubes and spheres that can be linked together to create anything imaginable, from a simple cube shape to a complex structure like an airplane or submarine. The name describes how the product works, tubes that are easy to use for work or play. Initially, Toobeez was sold exclusively to the specialty toy market, but it didn’t take long to realize the versatility of the product and its multi-use functionality, due to its open-ended nature. In addition to the specialty toy market, Toobeez is currently used within the following industries: education, team building/training, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation and wherever children gather, such as camps, Girl Scouts or after school programs. There is even a group of forward thinking dog trainers who use Toobeez to create challenging courses for agility training.

Project Connect a Collaboration of Experts

Most recently, Joe Donahue has created the Toobeez Project Connect Joint Venture, a collaboration of industry experts and educators armed with the goal of helping associations, corporations, schools and other organizations further their growth and success. Project Connect has developed a collection of materials that provide activities, educational tools and lesson plans for use with Toobeez. The Scholastic Series offers activity workbooks for Math, Science, Language Arts and Physical Education. Products in the Team Series include a Teambuilding activity workbook, a Multimedia Training CD and additional products still in development. The Therapy Series contains workbooks for Occupational Therapy and activities for seniors. Project Connect even offers free sample activities at their website, www.project-connect.net. Whether in a classroom, corporation, camp or health setting, Project Connect aims to provide every participant with a positive, healthy and fun learning experience.
