A Math Riddle: Euler‘s Formula
Through systematic observation and deductive reasoning, the group should be able to define an equation that is valid for any convex polyhedron (Euler’s formula).
Contractor‘s Crisis
The class should be able to build a three-story house model according to specified requirements and calculate the money required to wallpaper and carpet all the rooms
Math Hot Potato
The student groups should attempt to answer all the sample problems in a timely manner. Likewise, they should seek to learn from other groups by challenging them to answer problems their group finds too challenging.
Proving Probability
Each group must prove the validity of probability using the ball bucket experiment.
Pythagorean Puzzler
Each group will construct right triangles using Toobeez and learn to predict side lengths of triangles using the Pythagorean theorem.
You Sank My Battleshape
Each group must try to “sink” the opposing team’s Toobeez battleshapes using knowledge of the Cartesian plane system.
Toobeez Obstacle Course
Move through the obstacle course following this pattern – over, under, under, over. Collect one 11” tube each time you pass through the obstacle course. After all the 11”tubes are collected, construct a square out of the collected tubes and spheres.
Straw Soccer
Holding the straw in your lips, blow the ping pong ball into the other player’s goal to score as many points as possible!
Catch!
Toss the bean bag (or if you are really good, a Toobeez sphere) back and forth without dropping it!
Toobeez Timer
The child will independently identify how many tasks he/she must complete before a specified amount of time has passed.
Letter Pond
Catch the letters that are swimming in the pond and match them to the letter cards held in each player’s hands. The first one to match all of the letters wins!
Clone
Copy a design using the visual and tactile systems. No auditory instructions will be provided.
Toobeez Tangrams
Without seeing the other person, connect the Toobeez and build the same exact design. One person gives directions and the other person follows auditory instructions only.
Time Machine
In this time machine activity participants will share their past, current and future recreational interests and explore the value that recreation has had in their lives.
Quiet Corner
The child is challenged to identify times during tasks (or in his/her daily routine) when “quiet time” is needed to regroup and reorganize.
Musical Squares
Listen to the music that is playing. When the music stops, move your body into one of the squares. You must find a different square each time the music stops.
Stick Switch
Stick switch is an activity in which participants should be making eye contact when they are ready to toss and catch so they are aware it is their turn. Have the receiving participant say “ready” when he or she is prepared to receive the toss
BlastOff!
Float through outer space by following the path. Once you reach a station, catch or blast as many meteors as you can.

Balancing & Flexibility Techniques For Children: Students will use various balancing and flexibility techniques with their wands.

Cooperation Building Activities: Continue with this activity until all pairs of students have participated.
Limbo Rock
Stretching Exercises for School Children: Students will Limbo beneath the Toobeez tube as low as possible.
Laser Maze
Stretching Exercises For Children: Like a mouse, move from one end to the other of the Laser Maze without touching the shapes and/or tubes.
Stretch-O-Mania
Stretching Exercises For Children: This activity will help students to increase their flexibility over the course of the school year.
Crazy Eights
Engaging Activities For Students: Students will be able to demonstrate horizontal wand twirling.

Engaging Activities For Students: Teams of students will practice spelling words to move members through the obstacle course to score points.

Group Activities For Children: With a partner, have students select a unique quotation line from a classroom novel and record it on a piece of paper.
