Building a mini table with Noggin BuilderZ uses shape skills and motor skills to crate a small and useful table.

To build the table you’ll need:

  • 4 spools
  • 2 triangles
  • 8 green rods
  • 1 red rod

Start by creating a triangle with 3 spools, 2 green rods and the red rod

Next, finish the square by creating another right angle with 2 more green rods and attaching it to the first triangle

Then insert the foam triangles in the 2 triangular holes

Finally, make the table stand by adding a green rod to each of the spools to make the image below

To expand this activity, have the kids point out as many tables as they can find in the house. Also show them different kinds of tables like pool tables, ping pong tables, coffee tables, and dining tables.

Remember:

  • colors of rods and other pieces may vary
  • kit contains small pieces and may be a choking hazard, ages 4+
